Long live The King: AI will bring Elvis back to life in Berlin show
An AI holographic projection will bring Elvis Presley back to life in a show set to tour London, Las Vegas, Tokyo and Berlin in 2024.
Immersive Elvis Presley concert announced for Berlin
Similar to the much-acclaimed Abba Voyage production, a virtual concert with The King of Rock-and-Roll, Elvis Presley will come to the German city this November. The show will use holographic projections of Elvis which are based on thousands of personal photos and home videos.
Elvis Evolution, will be produced by the UK entertainment company Layered Reality, which “combine[s] the latest in performance technology with live actors and feature quality sets”, a production method which has been dubbed by some as “the future of entertainment”. These productions require effects artists to work billions of hours on the computer to create thousands of visual effects.
Announcing the show, Layered Reality promised the audience the opportunity to “witness iconic Elvis performances as if [they] were really there, and celebrate defining moments in Elvis Presley’s extraordinary life and career”.
Elvis Evolution will include biography and “live” performance
To complement and contextualise the Elvis hits, Layered Reality founder and CEO Andrew McGuinnes said that Elvis Evolution will begin with "deeper insight into Elvis's life, transporting fans back through the decades to experience his meteoric rise to fame, larger-than-life persona, and the cultural movement he catalysed in the 1950s and 1960s". This show will be followed by a “live” performance from AI Elvis.
Anyone who is particularly eager to see Elvis’ story come to life can join a waiting list before tickets go on sale for the first show of the tour, scheduled to take place in London.
