DB “Savings Weeks” sale cuts ICE tickets to 17,99 euros

Deutsche Bahn has launched a sale reducing all one-way, ICE train tickets to just 17,99 euros until January 28, 2025, or while stocks last.

DB ICE tickets on sale for as little as 10,79 euros

As part of its “Savings Weeks” campaign, Deutsche Bahn is selling two million tickets for its high-speed, intercity ICE trains for 17,99 euros one way.

Passengers who travel on ICE services running on Tuesdays and Wednesdays can take advantage of an additional 20 percent discount, bringing ticket prices down to 14,39 euros.

The deal applies to the Super-Sparpreis and Sparpreis ticket models, which are not refundable, and are only available while stocks of the earmarked two million tickets last.

If stocks do last, the offer is available until January 28. However, passengers can use the discount to book tickets for trains running until December 13, 2025, when Deutsche Bahn will switch to its new timetable.

"With this offer, we want to encourage even more people to leave their cars at home and give the train a try," Deutsche Bahn’s Head of Marketing Stefanie Berk wrote on LinkedIn.

BahnCard passengers can book ICE tickets for 10,79 euros

Passengers who have a BahnCard can look forward to an extra discount. Anyone with a BahnCard 25 or BahnCard 50 is entitled to an extra 25 percent discount on their already reduced ticket.

This means BahnCard holders can get a one-way, Super-Sparpreis ICE ticket for as little as 10,79 euros. As with non-discounted Deutsche Bahn tickets, children under 14 can travel for free.

Head to the Deutsche Bahn website for more information about booking restrictions and destinations.
