Dortmund bakery introduces “stoner rolls” to celebrate weed legalisation
A bakery in Dortmund is now selling “Kifferkruste” hemp rolls and biscuits iced with cannabis leaves to celebrate weed legalisation in Germany.
Wake and bake, Dortmund!
The Schürener Backparadies bakery in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia has taken weed legalisation in Germany - which came into effect on April 1, 2024 - as an opportunity to develop a new kind of baked good.
The company announced on Instagram that they will now be selling “Kifferkruste” (literally “stoner roll”), a soft, wheat roll with hemp seeds decorated with a bright green cannabis leaf, for 3,95 euros per roll. According to the bakery they have a sweet and nutty flavour.
Stoner rolls are sans THC
Unfortunately, these rolls will only serve to satiate your munchies. Responding to a follower's comment, “Beraucht eure “Kifferkruste” auch?” ("Do your stoner rolls also intoxicate?"), the bakery replied that the Brötchen are only made with hemp seeds and do not contain THC, the psychoactive chemical in cannabis.
Alongside the bread rolls, the bakery is also selling Amerikaner iced biscuits, decorated with a cannabis leaf and light green sprinkles. Gönn dir!
