Binnenalster Film Festival Hamburg
Only in Hamburg would you find a cinema screen that floats on the river. The open-air cinema on the Alster river transforms the Jungfernstieg into an atmospheric venue every year at the beginning of September.
Open-air cinema on the river
Binnenalster Film Festival Hamburg in Hamburg is renowned as a cultural highlight, the ideal end to an early autumn day in the city. And what’s more - entry is free!
At the Binnenalster Film Festival Hamburg, which is a cooperation between City Management Hamburg, Filmfest Hamburg and the Verein Lebendiger Jungfernstieg, one film per evening is shown in September every year over four consecutive evenings. The programme begins at dusk from about 8pm at the Alster pier on Jungfernstieg. It goes ahead no matter the weather, so come prepared and don't let a little rain spoil your evening!
