Stuttgart Book Weeks
Calling all book lovers, this is the event for you! The Stuttgart Book Weeks (Stuttgarter Buchwochen), one of the biggest regional book exhibitions in Germany, will present over 25.000 books from more than 330 publishers this year!
For the book worms
Since its first exhibition in 1949, the Stuttgart Book Weeks has grown from a dedicated showcase for publishers and trade members only to a cultural event open to everyone in the region of Stuttgart and beyond.
Each year well-established and upcoming publishing houses head to Baden-Württemberg to present their latest books and novels to the public, attracting more than 110.000 visitors each year. Famous German authors and internationally-acclaimed writers alike host readings of their work and lectures throughout the two-week event.
Browse through over 25.000 books
In addition to browsing through thousands of books, visitors can attend a number of readings or lectures, or try their hand at an educational workshop, like lettering or drawing. A range of exhibitions and film screenings that support the books on display is also planned throughout the Book Weeks.
And to ensure the little ones don’t feel left out, a dedicated programme for children, families and young adults has been set up, devised to encourage a love for reading among the younger generation, offering different activities like theatre performances and crafts.
