Passion Pferd: A fair for horse, dog and country-life lovers
If you are a horse rider, or dream of being one, a dog lover or just someone who enjoys the countryside, Passion Pferd is the perfect trade show for you! With plenty of stalls selling products for your lifestyle and amazing horse and dog demonstrations, you can immerse yourself in a rural idyll for the weekend.
Previously known as Pferd & Jagd, this year the show is splitting in two. Those who enjoyed the hunting and angling aspect of previous years will get their own new event, while the horse lovers are expanding their remit with dog products and events and home styling at Passion Pferd.
Theme Worlds at Passion Pferd
The exhibition is simply huge, so has been divided into three "theme worlds" to make it easy to navigate.
Horse and Riders
Around 500 exhibitors from all areas of equestrian sport, leisure riding and everything to do with horses make Passion Pferd an excellent day out for riders of all disciplines. Well-known exhibitors and brands, regional companies and industry giants as well as newcomers will all be offering their unique selection of products. Whether you want to start riding, upgrade your existing equipment or keep your horse in the very best of health, this is the place to do it.
Country
The countryside aesthetic of elegance and tradition is becoming increasingly popular, and at Passion Pferd visitors can stock up on all kinds of beautiful things that make life at home more cosy. As well as garden items, home furnishings and clothing, there is also a festive Christmas decoration section! Around 40 exhibitors are bringing their exclusive furniture, fashion, accessories and culinary highlights to the fair.
Pfotenliebe - The dog fair
Attention dog lovers: In the new, large theme world of Passion Pferd, everything revolves around your four-legged companions! Discover all the things that make a dog's heart beat faster, with more than 50 exhibitors bringing their innovative wares for the weekend. There are also plenty of dog-friendly items and events in the other theme worlds, so watch out for the paw icon as you shop around to spot more possible treats for your faithful friend.
Shows and Demonstrations
There are seven different arenas and show-grounds where you can watch demonstrations, shows and explainers all day long. The ARENA hosts the star attractions, with over 1.000 horses from all over the world taking part in total! Most of the shows are free, with two exceptions:
- The world-famous Night of the Horses (Nacht der Pferde) show takes place at 7pm on December 6 and 7. This show is a special highlight in the run-up to Christmas and one of the most beautiful horse shows in Europe. You need a separate ticket for this show, which takes place after the general fair has already closed. Prices start from 52 euros, which includes entrance to the fair in the daytime.
- At 2pm on December 7 and 8, you can also get tickets to watch MiMaMo - the children's horse and pony show for the whole family! Young talents and the stars of tomorrow demonstrate breathtaking acrobatics and rousing action with lots of surprises. Tickets start from 36 euros, and again include an entrance ticket to the fair.

As well as the main ARENA, you can enjoy watching cross-species friendships in the Dog & Horse Ring, or the adorable prowess of the tiny Icelandic ponies in the Icelandic Horse Village. The ClipMyHorse.TV ring is a spot where famous horse TV presenters and online influencers take centre stage, giving demonstrations or interviewing top breeders and trainers.
The Action Ring shows all the latest riding styles and explores human-horse communication and body language, while the Western Expert Ring is perfect for those with a little cowboy in them!
One of the most popular attractions at the fair is the Kids on Horseback Ring. This is the first point of contact for young riders and new starters. The Hanover Equestrian Sports Association provides comprehensive advice for children, parents and teachers on riding safely and enjoyably.
For those who can't quite commit to a horse, the trendy sport of Hobby Horsing can be tried out to see if it's a suitable substitute. There are fun shows such as the clown riding lesson, a dressage competition for young and old, pony agility and kids can take part in the children's horse rally!
