MHH Experience Worlds: A fashion, home and crafts fair

Every year, more than 250 exhibitors come together in November to turn Messe Essen into a giant design dreamworld, as MHH Experience Worlds (previously known as Mode Heim Handwerk or Fashion, Home, Crafts), the largest consumer fair in North Rhine-Westphalia, takes place.

Offering a range of experiences for the entire family, the fair attracts more than 120.000 people from far and wide to explore a series of new ideas and shopping opportunities over four days. With the 2024 edition of the trade fair kicking off, visitors this year can expect a colourful programme as well as new sections of the fair.

Come visit the largest consumer fair in NRW

This year, the concept behind the fair has changed, along with the name. Changing from Mode Heim Handwerk to MHH Experience Worlds, the fair will be divided into four different "worlds" that visitors can explore:

World of Enjoyment (Genusswelt)

The World of Enjoyment is full of the smell of spices, culinary delicacies and delicious dishes. The perfect place to get in the mood for Christmas dinner! At the centre of the World of Enjoyment is the marketplace, with regional products and a colourful programme surrounding food, trendy cuisine, kitchen appliances, kitchen utensils and sustainability. In the outdoor area, you can take part in wine, spirits and beer tastings.

World of Style (Stilwelt)

With tasteful furniture, sophisticated winter decorations and the latest home trends, enter the World of Style, where home dreams can come true. The stylish showroom offers a central stage for a daily changing interactive programme, for things such as a panel discussion on the "red sofa" or insights into building elements and facades in the "open corner of the house".

World of Activity (Aktivwelt)

Action, exercise and getting out and about in NRW are the focus of the World of Activity. While the temperatures drop outside, you can get sweating with a range of sports, fitness and leisure activities. In the large arena, sports clubs present their offerings with demonstrations and hands-on activities, from yoga and pilates to zumba and boxing.

World of Creativity (Kreativwelt)

In the World of Creativity, vendors exhibit products for arts and crafts, decorations and handicrafts in a Christmas atmosphere. There is also the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops in the charming half-timbered style central meeting point. From crocheting and knitting to pottery and calligraphy - try something new today!

MHH Experience Worlds has it all 

The consumer trade fair MHH Experience Worlds is supplemented by stalls with culinary and practical items so you get everything you want and need. This year, visitors will be introduced to innovative new products by start-ups during the "Junge Wilde" presentations.
