Long Night of Museums Stuttgart
One of the highlight events of the year in the city of Stuttgart is about to commence: The Long Night of Museums (Lange Nacht Der Museen) sees more than 80 museums and art galleries scattered around the city participate in a once-a-year nighttime event.
With special after-hours-openings lasting until 1am, the Long Night of the Museums also sees the city's public transportation system joining in for a more convenient and effective experience.
A marathon of museum hopping around the city
Your ticket is not only valid for participating museums, but also includes transportation (both trains and buses) to and from all the venues, making it an all-in-one-ticket for the night!
Visitors can also choose one of the bus tours, which continue throughout the night, and simply hop on and off at the locations they wish to visit.
Families with kids can participate a bit earlier, with several participating locations offering workshops, craft stands and performances fit for a younger crowd from 4 pm onwards.
More than just exhibitions
The event is the perfect chance to visit some of your favourite museums and galleries at once, but it’s also great to witness some special and exclusive exhibits and performances.
Almost all of the participating establishments will prepare unique events just for the occasion, so if you’re up for something new, go get those tickets.
For example, visitors can witness a special light painting performance at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, while car lovers can actually sit in (but not drive!) some of the oldest and most famous cars at the Rollendes Museum Stuttgart.
And what’s a city event without live music? Many venues will offer guests the chance to slow down with music, drinks and food.
