Workshops and performances
If you've wanted to try your hand at some of the traditional Japanese arts, there are plenty of workshops to take part in. Learn the ancient techniques of shodo, Japanese calligraphy, or take part in an origami workshop and create a beautiful paper decoration.
There's sake tasting for the grown-ups and even a kimono workshop to teach you how to correctly wrap and wear the traditional Japanese garment.
Japanese martial arts will be demonstrated on the stage, as well as a more demure performance of traditional Japanese dance. A kimono fashion show is a big draw for the sartorially minded shoppers, and a Koto player will show the magical tones the instrument can produce.
