International Berlin Beer Festival
Come and whet your appetite for German beer this summer at the longest beer garden in the world! The 23rd edition of the International Berlin Beer Festival is set to return to the 2,2 km (one mile) stretch between metro stations Strausberger Platz and Frankfurter Tor once more, welcoming over 800.000 visitors from all around the world.
Taking place simultaneously with the International Day of Beer, the festival brings together more than 350 brewers from 90 countries to offer over 2.400 speciality beers at countless stalls along the Karl-Marx-Allee. For three days and three nights, visitors can sample all types of beer in the Friedrichshain district in Berlin. Don't miss out on this ultimate German experience!
‘Summer Beer in the heart of Berlin’
The traditional folk festival is divided into 22 different beer regions, each offering its own selection of beer that is accompanied by culinary specialities from various German states. Nineteen stages will also be set up along the way, with numerous national and international artists performing throughout the weekend, together with an extensive entertainment programme.
In order to help visitors decide which beers to sample, event organiser PRÄSENTA created the Pro (Beer) pitcher, a special 0,2 litre sized glass, making it easier to taste more types of beer. "Through this campaign, we can better showcase the variety of beer specialities,” says Managing Director Lothar Grasnick. All participating breweries will be labelled with a Pro (Beer) pitcher sign.
The motto for this year’s Berlin Beer Festival is ‘Summer Beer in the heart of Berlin’, as the event brings together cool, refreshing beer, an open, friendly atmosphere, solid entertainment and warm temperatures.
