Hamburg Pride Week & CSD
Come and show your support and love for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, queer and intersex (LGBTQI+) community this summer at the annual Hamburg Pride Week and Christopher Street Day (CSD). This is one of many Christopher Street Day (CSD) celebrations across Germany.
Kicking off with Pride Night on July 27, Hamburg’s Pride Week is a celebration of love and tolerance for the city’s vibrant LGBTQI+ community. To mark the special occasion and demonstrate support to the community, over 100 events in different locations are held in addition to the central Pride Parade, along with numerous parties and performances across Hamburg.
Show your support at Hamburg Pride Week
The motto of this year’s Hamburg Pride and CSD is “5 minutes to 12! You and me against the pressure from the far right.”
Developed by associated members and key representatives of the LGBTQI+ community in Hamburg, the slogan underlines the urgency of standing up to the impending far-right threat to LGBTQI+ communities across Germany.

Programme for Hamburg Pride Week 2024
Keen to know what to expect, when and where during Hamburg Pride Week? Here we break down some of the key events:
Pride Night
This event officially opens Hamburg Pride Week at the Kampnagel Theatre on July 27, where an evening of music, discussion and comedy will take place.
Pride House
An integral part of Pride Week in Hamburg, Pride House is set to open its doors to the public on July 28 and August 1. Located on Rostocker Straße 7 in St. Georg, the building is the hub for a large number of events during Pride Week, ranging from discussions and lectures to workshops highlighting the importance of sexual equality around the world.
Pride Parade
The pinnacle of Hamburg Pride Week, the Pride Parade attracts over 15.000 participants who come together to march through the city, cheered on by a loving crowd. Due to its immense popularity, the route has had to change for 2024 to enable more participants and spectators to enjoy the parade safely.
This year, it starts at Mundsburger Damm and will run as follows: Schwanenwik - An der Alster - Lohmühlenstraße - Lange Reihe - Kirchenallee - Ernst-Merck-Straße - Glockengießerwall - Steintorwall - Mönckebergstraße - Bergstraße, where the demonstration ends.
The CSD Street Festival
A huge open-air party on the Ballindamm, the CSD Street Festival starts on August 2 and runs to August 4, marking the end of the colourful Pride Week. Several stages are set up along the boulevard, as well as stalls offering information and food.
