Musical lovers rejoice, as the Classic Open Air Festival in the famed Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin is set to return this summer!

Taking place in one of the most beautiful squares in Germany, the Gendarmenmarkt is transformed into a concert stage for a few days every July. The buildings surrounding the square, such as the concert house (Konzerthaus), the New Church (Neue Kirche) and French Cathedral (Französischer Dom) act as the ideal backdrop for the varied musical performances staged throughout the festival.

The Italian Opera Gala

Another must-see is the Philharmonic Orchestra Vorpommern and its leading soloists, as they celebrate the best works of Italian Opera. Performing under the direction of Florian Csizmadia, attendees can expect to enjoy enduring melodies, arias, duets and ensemble scenes by Rossini, Bellini, Leoncavallo, Puccini and Verdi.
