As most expats in Germany probably know, to get German citizenship by naturalisation, you need to pass a naturalisation test that not only examines your German language proficiency but also your knowledge of German history, culture, politics and society. 

Naturalisation tests are notoriously difficult to pass, demanding knowledge of specific and sometimes obscure facts about life in Germany - so much so that, as YouTube channel Easy German discovered, some people born in Germany don’t even know the answers.
